Frequently Asked Questions

Can I install a server GPU in a desktop PC?

Technically possible but rarely advisable. Server GPUs are passively cooled and rely on high-pressure server chassis airflow. In a desktop, they will throttle or overheat without significant case modification. For workstation use, choose actively cooled professional GPUs instead.

What is NVIDIA vGPU and do I need it?

vGPU is software that virtualises a datacentre GPU across multiple virtual machines for VDI and cloud workloads. It requires a subscription licence per concurrent user. Pure compute workloads (AI training, HPC) do not need vGPU; VDI deployments typically do.

Does CSSi sell GPUs separately or only with servers?

What warranty applies?
