  • Key Features: The SOHORAID MR2-WB3 2-Bay USB 3.0 RAID Enclosure from Stardom supports drives that are 7 and 9.5mm tall in its dual 2.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s bays. Equipped with one USB 3.0 port, two FireWire 800 ports, and a hardware RAID controller, this enclosure supports RAID 0, which helps enhance performance and RAID 1, which provides data redundancy. For those who do not need the benefits of RAID, JBOD is also supported, which allows each of the 2.5" drives to be used individually. When configured as a RAID 0 using two hard drives, read speeds are possible up to 240 MB/s, with write speeds reaching 256 MB/s. When configured as a RAID 1 using two hard drives, write read speeds are possible up to 129 MB/s, with write speeds reaching 117 MB/s. When equipped with two SSDs and configured as a RAID 0, read speeds are possible up to 339 MB/s, with write speeds reaching 330 MB/s. If the SSDs are configured as a RAID 1, read speeds are possible up to 331 MB/s, with write speeds reaching 357 MB/s. The SOHORAID MR2-WB3 2-Bay USB 3.0 RAID Enclosure operates using 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz and is compatible with both Windows and Mac systems. Included is a USB 3.0 cable, a FireWire 800 (1394b) cable, an AC power adapter, and an accessory kit. Compatible with Thunderbolt Video Capture Boxes The Thunderbolt interface allows you to perform video capturing, while making use of the common USB 3.0 or FireWire800 interfaces for data storage. Such a configuration not only distributes the computer system's burden instead of using just one transmission interface, while also satisfying most users' work requirements. It is specially designed to ensure the rapid completion of work USB 3.0 and FireWire 800 Interfaces Certain Macs are equipped with USB 3.0 and FireWire 800 interfaces which are convenient interfaces for data storage expansion, as well as suitable connection interfaces between different Mac computers. This RAID enclosure can be used with a MacBook Pro while you are on the move, providing you with the high volume digital storage that you may need while out. When you are back home or at your workstation, you can then connect the MR2-WB3 to your iMac or Mac mini for video processing
